Just a two day trip north out of Canberra up the west side of the Blue Mountains...

It was about 600-700ms in total....  some spectacular views and nice roads east of Oberon...

Special Notes :
- Rd from Jenloan Caves TO Jenloan is closed from 11.45am to 1.15pm daily to allow for coaches coming the other way on the small windy rds.
- 1-5kms of gravel rds between Abercombe Rover and Crookwell

Accom and fuel and food stops:
Goulburn for fuel :)
Taralga has a nice cafe at the end of the street
Oberon has shell and mobile with two+ cafes, supermarkets, RSL etc on the main street. DJs Cafe has a good range of cafe/light food.
Oberon also has Motel + 2 caravan parks: I suggest staying in Jenolan Caravan Park (http://www.jenolancaravanpark.com.au/) very tidy, cabins from $78 p/n
Jenolan Caves is well worth a stop for lunch and look around
Tarana I was told had a good bike friendly pub/cafe for lunch (although I missed it).
Bathurst has all the fuel. Also a lap of Bathurst :)
Bathurst to Canberra via Gunning is 250kms, or 290kms via Goulburn (Bathurst to Goulburn 191kms)

The beast :)

Not all the rds are like this..... but enough :)
